Dear Samina Ma’am and the Head Start team,

Heartiest Congratulations to you all on Head Start having completed 35 years! We whole heartedly thank you for the joy and learning we have had in the last 11 years of being a part of the family.

What makes a child gifted and talented need not always be good grades in school; there is much more to it and truly speaking Head Start’s philosophy for holistic development of a child reflects this in the everyday functioning of the school. Be it the emphasis on sports, music, theatre along with academics OR the mandate of food being prepared at the school premises for the students and staff - all practices speak of this philosophy. Fresh in our memory is a very soft and humble response Riad gave during the Middle School Orientation to an anxious parent’s request to relax this mandate. He said, if the child can accept one meal in a day which may or may not be their favourite meal / dish then collectively we have done a good job of preparing the child to deal with the externalities of the real world. The nurturing, caring and open environment at Head Start keeps children grounded as well as encourages them to explore new ways to learn!!

Our best wishes to the Head Start team for the journey ahead and may it cross many more such milestones!!

P.S. I have attached one of Tejas's photos from Sarjapur Campus Inaugural 2011.
