The Montessori experience has given them the ability and resilience to adjust to different environments

It was over a decade and a half ago but I still vividly recall our interview with Samina Aunty and Mrs. Geetha up on the terrace of the Head Start home when we relocated to Bangalore with our boys, then 2 and 4 years old. Being new to the city, this was a school that was highly recommended to us as being the best Montessori school in Bangalore. That started our journey with Head Start with being fortunate to enroll my older son first and sometime later the younger one.  Kids settled in very easily in the homely environment with the teachers being their aunties. Our sons continued as Head Start expanded into Primary and Secondary school with Riad and were part of the first batches in the new Head Start campus in Koramangala, later moving to the beautiful Sarjapur campus. The kids loved to see Samina Aunty greeting them personally as they entered school every morning and I was always amazed at how she remembered the names of all the kids. I have fond memories of all the events including the music festivals, their concerts, sports day at St. John's Sports Complex, the Montessori Day where we got to experience the different environments our kids were in, at school, and many more. Being at Head Start, the kids got an all round exposure to foundations in academics, music, arts and sports and it is possible the Montessori experience has given them the ability and resilience to adjust to different environments with ease and explore and pursue different interests.  Asad, from the first student batch of Head Start Elementary and Secondary school until 6th Grade, is now doing his Bachelors at University of California, Berkeley, in Data Science and Applied Mathematics and Siraj, who attended Head Start until 4th Grade, will be starting this fall at the University of California, Irvine, for a Bachelors in Quantitative Economics. Overall, the Head Start experience for the kids and us has been wonderful, with great friends and fond memories that will always be cherished.

Wish you all the very best,
Warm regards
