Congratulations  to Head Start on 35 years of unflinching dedication, fostering self-esteem and promoting mutual respect amongst children in a nurturing and stimulating manner. This is truly praiseworthy.

What resonates with us as parents about the strong cultural philosophy of Head Start, is

that it encourages self-discipline, self-knowledge and independence. The focus is not just on academic skills but also on problem solving ability, and a love of learning.

Having come from a family of traditional public schools such as Loreto Convent Shillong, erstwhile Royal Indian Military College (RIMC) Dehradun, Lawrence School Lovedale and Bishop Cottons, we have undoubtedly come to a conclusion about the kind of grounded, free spirited personalities all these institutions put together produce. Head Start imparts that quality (and beyond) education for an all round development (Holistic Education: Bedrock of success) to our 3 kids: Rayyan, Ismail and Samarah.

Head Start showcases an undeterred determination and dedication from all staff and school members, which are literally nonexistent in institutions of today. It holds true to its philosophy of  caring, and giving students a sense of direction & security to take on the ever challenging world. We have seen our kids evolve into fine young men and women.

Head Start offers an education system that liberates, empowers and motivates students to use their individual gifts with confidence, creativity and generosity in loving and responsible service. The School has laid a strong foundation on impressionable minds, for taking on their primary years and beyond, eventually laying a dynamic foundation for the rest of their lives.

Given the freedom to probe deeply, and to make connections, we feel that Head Start students become confident, enthusiastic, self-directed learners. They are able to think critically, work collaboratively, and act boldly--a skill set paramount for the 21st century, for which HSEA has carved its name in the educational arena.

Hence choosing Head Start was undeniably the best choice we ever made. The strong culture and ethos at Head Start has helped lay a strong foundation which is grounded in their approach to life, developing free spirited young minds, enriched with experiences gained, only to take on and make valuable contributions to a rapidly changing world.
